Bono January 2009 >>

d63

Before we left Jerusalem on our way to the Sea Of Galilee, we went to a high spot opposite to have pictures made with the city as a backdrop. Moshe told us on the first day that the real name in Hebrew is Iru Shalom. That means City of Peace.

d64

On our way to Galilee, we stopped to see the Spring of Perat.

d65

This is the valley around the spring.

d66

As we stopped for lunch, we were treated to tanks being hauled by.

d67

After lunch we stopped at the Dead Sea.

d68

This the end of the Kidron Valley at the Dead Sea.

d69

Later we stopped at Gilgal and had another ceremony.

d610

The Lord provided a spectacular light show.

d611

Moshe explained to us the significance of Gilgal. It is the place where the Jews crossed the river Jordan to enter the Promised Land. This is where the Tabernacle stood.

d612

The group and the banner. Moshe said that the place where the banner was would have been the spot where the Holy of Holies would have been. Meaning the Ark of the Covenant.

d613

We completely unrolled a 500 year old Torah for the occasion.

d614

Our presence attracked the interest of the Israeli Military.

d615

We soon won them over.

By the time we got here to the Sea of Galilee it was dark. So we'll have to wait til tomorrow to see what it is like.
